Employees who work more than 40 hours in a week must be paid overtime at 1.5 times their regular pay rate, with few exceptions. (non-exempt employees)

A fired or laid-off employee's final paycheck is due by the end of the next business day; an employee who quits with at least 48 hours' notice is paid on the last day, and one who quits with less notice within 5 business days or on the next regular payday, whichever comes first.

Paid sick leave

Employees earn at least 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours a year; it is paid at employers with 10 or more employees (6 or more with a location in Portland) and protected but unpaid at smaller employers.
