No cookies, no accounts, no tracking across sites.

WageTable is a reference site. This page lists everything that happens to data when you visit it.

In short

  • No accounts, no ads, no cookies or other storage on your device, and no tracking across other websites.
  • We count visits with PostHog, an analytics service hosted in the European Union, configured to discard IP addresses.
  • ZIP and postal code lookups run in your browser. The code you type into the lookup is not sent to us or to PostHog.
  • Our web server keeps standard access logs for 14 days.
  • We never sell data, share it with advertisers or build profiles of visitors.

Usage statistics

We use PostHog Cloud EU (PostHog, Inc.; data stored in the EU) to understand which pages people read and whether the site works. For each page view it records:

  • the page address, with any search part removed, and the page you came from;
  • browser, operating system, device type and screen size;
  • your time zone and browser language, which give a rough region (your IP address is not used for location);
  • clicks on links and buttons, and where on the page they land (for heatmaps);
  • page loading performance and JavaScript errors.

No cookies. PostHog runs in cookieless mode: nothing is stored in your browser. To tell one visitor from another within a day, PostHog's servers compute a one-way hash of your IP address and browser details with a value that changes daily; the hash cannot be turned back into your IP address, and visits on different days cannot be linked. Your IP address itself is discarded and not stored. There are no session recordings.

Requests go to wagetable.com/ingest, which forwards them to PostHog, so they are not blocked as third-party trackers. Statistics are only collected on wagetable.com itself.

Server logs

The web server that delivers these pages, in Ashburn, Virginia (United States), logs each request: your IP address, the time, the page requested, the page you came from and your browser's user-agent string. We use the logs only to keep the site running and secure. They are deleted automatically after 14 days.

No other third parties

Everything a page needs, including its fonts, is served from wagetable.com. Apart from the statistics described above, your browser contacts no other company when you read the site.

Lookups

When you look up a ZIP or postal code, the table that maps codes to jurisdictions is downloaded to your browser and the match happens there. The code may appear in your browser's address bar so you can bookmark the result; that part of the address is removed from everything sent to PostHog. Pages for a single ZIP code carry the code in their own address (for example /minimum-wage/zip/94110/), and like any page address it is recorded in the statistics and server logs when you open one.

Email

If you write to [email protected] or [email protected], we use your address and message only to reply and, for corrections, to check and fix the data. We keep the message as long as that takes.

Legal basis and your rights

We process the data above on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working reference site and understanding how it is used in aggregate (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can ask to access or delete data about you, or object to its processing, by writing to [email protected]. Because the statistics hold no identifier tied to you, we usually cannot single out your visits, but we will help where we can. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

To stop analytics entirely, block wagetable.com/ingest or use a browser setting or extension that blocks analytics; the site works the same without it.

Children

WageTable is a general reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information about them.

Changes

If what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.

WageTable

Every figure on WageTable renders from a row in our dataset with a verbatim quote from the primary source and a verification date. Rates shown are current as of the build date, October 1, 2026. This is a reference, not legal advice; check the linked statute or agency page before acting on it.
