Minimum wage in Panama

Panama sets no single general rate: 2 rule(s) apply by sector, employer or region (table below), and each of its 2 sub-jurisdictions sets its own rate.

Panama sets hourly minimum wages by region (Region 1 / Region 2 districts) and economic activity, with small/large employer bands, by executive decree every two years. Current table: Decreto Ejecutivo No. 13 de 31 de diciembre de 2025 (Gaceta Oficial No. 30438, January 6, 2026), in force from January 16, 2026 for 2026-2027, in balboas (PAB, at par with the US dollar). Published: the nationwide agriculture rows here; manufacturing, construction, wholesale, retail, hotels, restaurants, transport and domestic work (monthly) under Region 1 and Region 2. There is no single general rate.
