The national minimum wage is set through the Joint National Negotiating Board and applies to employees below supervisory level (Employment Act 2023, s. 38). Le 500,000 a month from 1 September 2014 (JNNB notice, Gazette No. 34 of 26 June 2014); the FY2020 budget announced Le 600,000 a month; it has been raised again since the 2022 redenomination to new leones. No figure is published here until the instrument setting the current rate is located.
