Private sector: set by the National Wages Council (chaired by the Minister of Planning) since January 2022 (EGP 2,400), now EGP 7,000 from 1 March 2025, computed on the wage as defined in the Labour Law and including the employer's social-insurance share; micro-establishments (10 workers or fewer) were excluded from the 2024 decision; a part-time floor of EGP 28 net per hour applies from 2025.
