Notes on this jurisdiction's rules and sources

SMIG monthly set by decree under article 149 of the Code du travail. Décret n° 855/PR/MTE of 9 November 2006 fixed it at 'quatre vingt mille francs' (80 000 FCFA) per month from 1 October 2006 (row signed with --rate). Secondary sources (Gabonmediatime Feb 2026, FinancesAO Apr 2026) say the SMIG is still 80 000 FCFA; the widely cited 150 000 FCFA is the separate revenu minimum mensuel (décret n° 127/PR/MTEPS of 23 April 2010, SMIG plus mandatory allowances), whose official text was not found (checked 2026-09-27).
