Notes on this jurisdiction's rules and sources

Presidential Decree No. 351 of 4 June 1999 sets a minimum wage of GEL 20 per month for all enterprises and organisations. It is still formally in force but has never been updated, is far below any market wage, and does not work as a wage floor in practice; Eurostat lists Georgia among candidate countries without a national minimum wage. Public-sector pay scales are set separately. A 2006 amendment (Decree No. 767) set GEL 40 only as a reference unit for fines and charges.
