Bihar fixes one set of minimum rates (unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, highly skilled; per day) for the 89 scheduled employments of Schedule 1(B) under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, and adds a variable dearness allowance revised every April 1 and October 1 from the average All-India CPI of the preceding half-year (July-December and January-June). Monthly rates are the daily rate x 26; domestic work hourly rate is the daily rate / 8. No zones. Agriculture has its own schedule.
