Notes on this jurisdiction's rules and sources
Madhya Pradesh revised the basic minimum wages for its scheduled employments by Labour Department notification of March 4, 2024 (in force April 1, 2024; base All-India CPI 311, 2001=100). The Labour Commissioner, Indore adds a variable dearness allowance every April 1 and October 1 from the average CPI of the preceding half-year. One schedule (Schedule A, part B) covers 67 of the scheduled employments (unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, highly skilled; per month and per day on a 26-day basis, with a rounded-up daily rate); agriculture, beedi and a few others have separate rates. No zones.
