Notes on this jurisdiction's rules and sources
Labour Law No. 37 of 2015 (art. 63) has the Council of Ministers fix the minimum wage for private- sector workers on the recommendation of the minimum wage committee. Federal Iraq: IQD 350,000 per month from 1 January 2018 (Council of Ministers decision reported by its General Secretariat on 18 December 2017), replacing IQD 250,000 from 1 July 2013 (Resolution 178 of 2013). The Kurdistan Region sets its own minimum (IQD 450,000 per month from 1 August 2025 per WageIndicator); no official Kurdistan Region text is on file yet.
