Notes on this jurisdiction's rules and sources
Under art. 52 of Labour Law No. 8 of 1996 the Tripartite Committee for Labour Affairs sets the minimum wage, published in the Official Gazette. JOD 290 per month from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2027 for all workers covered by the Labour Law 'regardless of how they are paid'; JOD 260 from 1 January 2021 (hardest-hit sectors from 1 June 2021), kept for 2023-2024. Earlier rates (JOD 220 from 2017, 190 from 2012) and the separate migrant-worker minimum (JOD 230 from 2021, per press reports) are not yet backed by a Ministry source. Workers file complaints through the Ministry's 'Hemayeh' platform.
