No single national minimum wage. The Regulation of Wages (General) Order and the Regulation of Wages (Agricultural Industry) Order under Labour Institutions Act s 46 set monthly, daily and hourly minima per occupation in three area tiers (Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret cities; former municipalities and Mavoko, Ruiru, Limuru town councils; all other areas). Published rows are the general labourer (lowest grade) monthly figure for the city tier only. Orders since 2017 took effect 1 May 2017, 1 May 2018, 1 May 2022, 1 November 2024 and 1 May 2026.
