Notes on this jurisdiction's rules and sources

Minimum Wage Act 1986 (s 403) sets one hourly minimum wage (USD) for government and private employees; P.L. 2024-13 set $4.00 from October 1, 2024 with steps to $4.50 (Oct 1, 2025), $5.00 (Oct 1, 2026) and $5.25 (Oct 1, 2027). s 403(2) lets the Nitijela halt later steps by resolution after a Cabinet assessment, so the 2026 and 2027 steps are scheduled by law but could be stopped. Qualified export-oriented projects may be exempted (s 403(3)). Earlier rates are not in the consolidated text and are not published.
