The general minimum wage (الحد الأدنى العام للأجور) for workers outside the civil service (private, cooperative and joint sectors) is set by legislative decree, usually alongside public-sector pay rises. Decree 67/2026 sets it at 12,560 new Syrian pounds per month from 1 May 2026; amounts are in the 'new Syrian pound' (ليرة سورية جديدة, after the redenomination) named in the decree, recorded under code SYP; earlier rows would be in old pounds and are not yet sourced.
