Overtime
Employers must pay 1.5 times the employee's wage rate for hours over 40 in a workweek; employers grossing less than $150,000 a year are exempt from Ohio's overtime rule. (non-exempt employees of employers grossing $150,000 or more a year)

Tipped employees (those who customarily receive more than $30 a month in tips) may be paid $5.50 an hour plus tips in 2026, but an employer using the tip credit must be able to show that cash wage plus tips reaches at least the full minimum wage. (tipped employees)
